Privacy Policy

PDF to Word - File Converter + (“PDF to Word”, “the app”) is made by Worth A Try LLC. This policy explains how the app handles your documents and the service data used to operate it.

Your documents stay on your device

All four conversions run on your iPhone: PDF to Word, Word to PDF, Photos to PDF and Text to PDF. Scanned PDF pages are recognized with Apple’s on-device text recognition. We do not upload your documents to a conversion server or use them to train a model.

The app imports copies of files and photos you select through Apple’s system pickers. It does not request access to your entire photo library. Imported copies and converted outputs remain in the app’s local library; originals in Files or Photos are not modified. The app excludes its document library from iCloud backup. Save important outputs separately: uninstalling the app removes its local files.

When you choose Save or Share, the file goes to the destination you select. Files stored with iCloud Drive or another provider may be transferred by that provider under its own privacy policy.

Service data

Local conversion does not mean the app never connects to the internet. It uses these services for purchases, reliability and usage measurement:

• Firebase Authentication: creates an anonymous account identifier without asking you for a name, email address or password. The same identifier can associate usage events, diagnostics and purchase access within our services. It is a pseudonymous identifier, not a promise that all records are unlinked.
• RevenueCat: processes purchase and entitlement information, product identifiers, transaction dates and related device or service metadata to verify access, restore purchases and provide subscription management. Apple processes payment; we do not receive your payment-card details.
• Mixpanel: receives app interactions, onboarding and purchase-flow events, conversion success or failure, and broad file-size/page-count categories. Its SDK also provides technical and connection metadata such as device and operating-system information and IP-based location. We do not send document contents or file names in analytics events.
• Firebase Crashlytics: receives crash and diagnostic reports, including stack traces, device/app information and installation identifiers. Reports may be associated with the app’s anonymous identifier. We do not intentionally include document contents or file names in crash reports.
• Firebase App Check: uses Apple’s device-attestation services to help establish that requests come from a genuine app installation.

We use this information to provide purchase access, understand where the app fails or is difficult to use, and improve reliability. The app does not request advertising tracking permission or collect your contacts or precise location. We do not sell document contents or use them for advertising.

Service providers process data on our behalf under their terms and privacy policies: Firebase, RevenueCat, and Mixpanel. Processing may take place outside your country.

Deletion and support

Delete a library entry to remove the app’s copies of that conversion. Settings → Delete my data clears local conversions and settings and requests deletion of the anonymous Firebase account. This does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically erase historical purchase, analytics or diagnostic records held by service providers. Purchase records may need to be retained for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Contact support@worthatry.co for access, correction or deletion requests concerning service data. We may need information to locate the relevant record. Do not send a private document unless you deliberately choose to share it for support. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EU/EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in those groups. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information.
