Privacy Policy

ReminderCall is a reminder app that places real phone calls to you at times you choose, made by Worth A Try Co. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

Because ReminderCall actually calls your phone, it necessarily handles your phone number and the reminders you ask us to deliver. This policy is upfront about exactly what that involves.

The short version

ReminderCall needs your phone number (so we can call you) and the reminders you create (so we know what to say and when). We use a telephony provider to place the calls and Google’s Gemini model to turn your reminder into a natural-sounding script. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t share your reminders with anyone except the providers below that make the calls happen.

1. What we collect

Things you give us

  • Your phone number. You sign in with your phone number (verified by a one-time code via Firebase). We store it so we can place your reminder calls and, if you opt in, send SMS.
  • Your profile. An optional name, email, time zone, and the goal you pick during onboarding. Your time zone is used so calls arrive at the right local time.
  • Your reminders. The title, message, date/time, repeat schedule, and any voice-message settings for each reminder you create. This is the content we read to you (or use to generate a spoken script) when we call.
  • SMS consent. Whether you have opted in to receive text messages, and when you did so.

Things we collect automatically

  • Subscription status. RevenueCat tracks whether you have an active subscription and your purchase dates. We never see your payment method — Apple handles billing entirely.
  • App usage events. Anonymized analytics about which features you use and where you drop off in onboarding, via Mixpanel and Firebase, so we can improve the app.
  • Crash reports. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects the stack trace, device model, and OS version. This does not include your reminder content.

What we don’t collect

  • Your location.
  • Your contacts.
  • Your microphone audio — ReminderCall calls you; it does not listen to or record you.
  • Any payment details — Apple handles all billing.

2. How the calls work (and what leaves your device)

To place a reminder call, our backend needs your phone number, the scheduled time, and the reminder message. At call time:

  • Your reminder message may be sent to Google’s Gemini model (via Firebase AI) to generate a natural-sounding call script. This is inference-only — it is not used to train models.
  • The script and your phone number are passed to our telephony provider, which dials your number and plays the message.

Reminder content is transmitted for the purpose of delivering your call. We don’t use it for anything else.

3. How we use what we collect

  • To place your reminder calls and texts at the times you schedule.
  • To generate the spoken script for each call.
  • To manage your subscription (verify an active entitlement via RevenueCat).
  • To fix bugs (Crashlytics) and improve the app (anonymized Mixpanel analytics).
  • To meet legal obligations (e.g., retaining transaction records and consent records).

Things we don’t do: We don’t sell your data. We don’t run advertising SDKs. We don’t share your reminders or phone number with anyone other than the providers listed below, and only to deliver the service.

4. Third-party services we use

By adding your phone number and creating reminders, you authorize ReminderCall to place automated reminder calls to that number at the times you schedule. If you separately opt in to SMS, you also authorize reminder text messages. You can stop calls and texts at any time by deleting a reminder, turning off SMS consent in settings, or deleting your account. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply to SMS.

6. Data storage, retention and deletion

Your reminders and profile are stored in our backend so that scheduled calls can fire even when your phone is off or the app is closed. You can delete individual reminders in the app at any time. To delete your account and associated data — your phone number, profile, and reminders — email us at hello@worthatry.co and we will remove it. Anonymized analytics and crash data are retained by Mixpanel and Crashlytics under their own retention policies. Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple as required by law.

7. Children’s privacy

ReminderCall is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (your phone number, profile, and reminders) by emailing us at the address below. You may withdraw calling/SMS consent at any time as described in Section 5.

9. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the app changes in ways that affect data handling and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
