Terms of Use
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern Construction Calculator (“App”), operated by Worth A Try LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. What the App does
The App is a construction calculator for iPhone and iPad. It adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides feet, inches, fractions and metric measurements; converts length, area, volume, weight and slope; and works out square footage, concrete and fill, roof and rafter figures, and stairs. It keeps a tape of finished calculations and lets you save results into named jobs and share a job as text or PDF. Your calculations, tape and jobs are stored on your device. See our privacy policy for the services the App uses for purchases, analytics and crash reports.
2. Results are estimates: check before you build
The App is a planning aid. Its answers depend entirely on the numbers, units and settings you enter. Answers on screen are rounded to the fraction precision you choose, and square roots, angles and values involving π are approximate. Material quantities, bag counts, waste allowances and costs are estimates; what a job actually needs depends on site conditions, product sizes and how the work is done.
- Check measurements, cut lists and material orders yourself before you cut, pour, order or build.
- The stair code check compares a stair with three US residential limits (riser height, tread depth and headroom, from International Residential Code R311.7). It is not a code review or an approval and does not mean a stair complies. Building codes differ by location and change over time; your local code, building official and permit requirements govern.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for every product, and have a qualified professional, such as an engineer, architect or licensed contractor, check anything structural, safety-related or required by a permit.
You are responsible for your measurements, your material and purchasing decisions, the work you do or have done, and compliance with building codes and permits. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worth A Try LLC is not liable for material or construction decisions made using the App, including wasted or insufficient materials, cost overruns, rework, failed inspections, property damage or injury.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the EU/EEA, to use the App.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
After the short first-run setup, using the App requires Pro access through an auto-renewing weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Both unlock the same features.
- Weekly subscription: $4.99 per week in the United States, with no free trial. Prices in other countries are set by local App Store pricing and are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each week unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Lifetime purchase: a one-time, non-consumable purchase of Pro access in this App. It does not renew. The App may offer lifetime access at a discounted one-time price; its price is shown before purchase. Lifetime access does not promise perpetual compatibility with future devices or operating systems.
- Manage or cancel a subscription on your iPhone or iPad in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the App through Settings → Your purchase. Restore purchases with Restore purchases on the App’s plans screen, using the same Apple Account.
- Deleting the App or its data does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple at Report a Problem.
Purchases and restores need a connection to Apple’s and RevenueCat’s services.
5. Apple’s Standard EULA
The App is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA governs your license to use the App.
6. Your jobs and data
You own what you enter. Your calculations, tape and jobs stay on your device, so we cannot see or recover them, and deleting the App deletes them. Share or export jobs you want to keep: the App is not a backup service.
7. Availability
Features, tools and compatibility may change as the App and iOS evolve. We aim to keep the App accurate and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free results.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any warranty that results are accurate or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or any amount exceeding what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. These Terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and the date above. Questions: Worth A Try LLC, support@worthatry.co.
